Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on the full moon day (Pournima) in the month of Chaitra. Chaitra month starts with festivals like Gudi Padwa then Ram Navami, Mahavir Jayanti and Hanuman Jayanti. Every festival has its own significance and is celebrated through out India. On the day of Hanuman Jayanti many people organize Mahaprasad to welcome the birth of lord Hanuman. A lot of devotees donate food grains for Mahaprasad. It really feels great sitting and dining together with a big crowd. It is a very sacred feeling and can be felt by everyone with a pure heart.
