Maharashtra’s first IIIT to come in Nagpur

Nagpur will host Maharashtra’s first Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). The Institute is schedule to start from next academic year, and is planned to come on a 100 acre land near Kaladongri, off Wardha Road.

According to reports, The Cente will provide financial assitance of Rs 100 crores, where as state will invest Rs 35 crores. Rs 20 crore will be invested by IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). TCS has been roped by state government as a parter.

TCS to setup development office in Nagpur

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest software house will be setting up development center in Nagpur.

In the first phase TCS will be investing around 600 crore to set Nagpur Campus in MIHAN SEZ spread over 54-acre of land. Initially, the Nagpur Campus will be house around 8,200 professionals.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Prithviraj Chavan was present to preside over this occasion and laid the foundation stone for Phase I at a ceremony held at the site of the campus today. He was joined by other dignitaries from the city.
