Nagpur will host Maharashtra’s first Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). The Institute is schedule to start from next academic year, and is planned to come on a 100 acre land near Kaladongri, off Wardha Road.
According to reports, The Cente will provide financial assitance of Rs 100 crores, where as state will invest Rs 35 crores. Rs 20 crore will be invested by IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). TCS has been roped by state government as a parter.
Vidarbha Economic Development Council (VED) is organizing its 3rd conference Nagpur Calling – conference on IT/ ITES on 24th February 2012 in association with NASSCOM and is supported by MADC and VASE.
The event will attract various national , international entrepreneurs in the IT/ ITeS segment and CIOs of manufacturing and infrastructure sectors to showcase their needs. Prominent Speakers from the IT / ITes industry would discuss the way to grow Nagpur as a good IT / ITeS destination and CIOs of non-IT companies in the central India region would discuss the business potential of city.
